Wan Jin Sia

Wan Jin holds an LLB (Hons) degree from the Cardiff University, U.K. (on scholarships), and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2016. Thereafter, she practiced in Raja Darryl & Loh and Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill and focused on litigation.

Wan Jin has a unique blend of experience in corporate, commercial, and litigation matters. Her areas of practice include corporate advisory, corporate transactions, commercial compliance, and a wide array of dispute resolution areas. Her previous experience as an in-house legal counsel with one of the largest MNCs in town allows her to understand the operations of commercial organizations and align with the client’s needs.

Wan Jin advises commercial organizations regarding their external transactions with third parties and internal day-to-day operations including preparing, negotiating, and drafting of non-disclosure agreements, procurement contracts, policy, and procedures implementation (i.e. policies on personal data protection, anti-bribery, corruption, and money-laundering). She is also able to assist her clients in liaising with official authorities such as Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), and Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and obtaining the relevant licenses that suit the clients’ needs. 

Throughout her practice, she has also been active in dispute resolution in fields of civil and commercial litigation including corporate and commercial litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency, employment disputes, estate, and probate claims, and family contentious and uncontentious matters.  She acted for one of the largest commercial brewery companies and succeeded in obtaining several judgments in favor of her client. She has also recently conducted a trial independently and won against over 10 employees in an employment dispute amidst the 2020 pandemic. 

Experienced in advising international clients as well, Wan Jin is a multilingual lawyer who can converse fluently in English, Malay, and Mandarin.
